A Dilemma

Adventurers and Lovers of Fun,

So having picked a few items from xsfashion.com and oxbowshop.co.uk for my forthcoming trip to Portugal, I am putting off buying anything for the lady at the moment.

Yes I know I was going to treat her with a few new things today but I'm thinking that firstly I should consider the amount of packing space available.

Now this blog is to encourage adventure and getting out and having fun and it's not about moaning; so I'm not going to say anything about how much women pack for holidays and why every variation of climatic probability needs to be catered for! Neither am I going to rant on about Easyjet's policy of charging almost as much as the flight for hold bags and then an even greater sum for bodyboard bags, under the excuse that they contain surfboards. (No they don't they contain bodyboards).

Instead I'm going to tell you about a great present I got for my birthday which came in the mother of all large boxes. The box contained a Creature of Leisure Multi Wheely Bodyboard Bag and whilst it's not the sort of bodyboard bag you'd take down the beach, it's ideal for getting some value from no frills airlines.

So this holiday everything is going in it. 3 boards, fins, wetsuits, towels, sun tan lotion and I'm thinking perhaps the rest can all go hand luggage; save paying for another hold bag. The question is 'will the lady buy this impeccable logic?'

Anyway until I can work out how much space there will be for girl's clothes (once my own modest requirements are taken care of) I'm afraid I'm just getting the Rip Curl Tropicalia Retro Bikini as a kind of peace offering and then will be diplomatically raising the question.

What do you think my chances are?

M
